FLEET Vs FLEET

By Commander Dave B.

This is my idea for speeding up games. The source of this should be self-evident, my profound thanks to those whose ideas I've adapted.

Each of the fleets has an aggression number that is applied to the score of a D6 and modified due to the circumstances. You may add a national or even a command aggression level if you so wish to personalise the result even more.
FLEET ENCOUNTERS

RESULT

Equal Scores fleets meet in the normal manner, with no overall advantage.

Advantage, but not double the score The more aggressive fleet has the advantage and has achieved a flanking attack on its opponent.

Method Losing side enters the middle of the long end of the table, winning one of the front tangents

Result A blockade runner has achieved partial success in flanking the blockading force.

Method The blockading force takes a central position facing one of the long edges the runner enters one of the front tangents

Double the score of its opponent
The more aggressive fleet has gained an overwhelming advantage over its opponents, by getting behind the enemy

Method The loser enters from the centre of a short edge and proceeds with the aim of exiting the other end of the table
The winner enters at one of the tangents behind

A side will break when it has lost its command ship or 1/3 of its total number of ships.
